Top 15 Trendsetting Movies

Here's TCM's picks for Favorite Fashion Trendsetting Films. It really is a lovely list of some of the silver screen's most enduring looks, but it's also a predictable yawn. Breakfast At Tiffany's, Annie Hall, Rear Window, Blah, Blah, Blah...

4. PAT AND MIKE (1952)
5. REAR WINDOW (1954)
6. REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE (1955)
7. AND GOD CREATED WOMAN. . . (1956)
8. AUNTIE MAME (1958)

12. SHAFT (1971)

14. SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (1977)

I thought it would be a lot more fun if we each examined what films & characters influenced our own personal style. You should join me. What movies have most influenced your wardrobe? I tried to be honest about what films, for better and worse, really made an impact on my closet and found the ride down my very own memory lane surprisingly eye opening. Looking over my picks, I definitely see a theme there. Seems I am stuck in the 80s & tend to gravitate toward an overt, long-haired, slinky sex pot thing. What can I say? I'm cheap & easy like that!
