KOSHi LUVS... Dirty Sweet

Whew! What a night! I like to try to stick to the East side of town for fun stuff, but last night was so worth trekking out to The Viper Room for live music. The Wildbirds, a very good Kings Of Leon-ish band from Wisconsin, got everyone's blood pumping and really set the tone before Blvd., an unexpected surprise, rocked it in a Bloc Party meets The Beatles jammy pop way. Dirty Sweet, an awesomely skanky 70s style rock band, headlined the show, and just when they had the room whipped into a kind of hippie-spinning-head-banging frenzy, they closed the evening with a rousing cover of The Animals, "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood".
