Rick Owens grew up just outside my hometown of Bakersfield, California, which makes it only slightly more interesting than I thought it was when I, back in 1993, at the first available chance, fled town like my hair was on fire. Mr. Owens is a very important fashion designer and calls Paris, France home these days. Quite the change. Non?
