She looks like a shiteous mess! She looks like an angel! Her plastic surgery is a joke, a warning, an inspiration... Will these celeb-sucking bloggers ever make up their minds about what they think of Courtney Love? They would if they could get past the plastic surgery, blatant drug abuse & train wreck court room drama. They would if they knew what I know... "Live Through This" is one of the best records of all time, revealing Love's deep dark & surprisingly tender soul, and that songs like "Violet" & "Doll Parts" were anthems for many an angry girl without the proper outlet a dozen years ago. And they would, like me, look forward to her come back. She is, which is probably why she's currently streaming her very own cover of her dearly departed hubby's classic, "Penny Royal Tea", on her website along with, what I think is a new self-penned original. It's a good move. The songs suit her & harken back to a bigger time

She's Serious

Scarlett Johansson's debut record is in the can, featuring members of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs & Celebration, produced by some fancy producer. Why does this bug me? Am I jealous or just annoyed & sick to death of every of other movie star making the "cross over" to music? I don't know, but I will give her credit for gently easing us into it- first announcing that she'd be making a record of Tom Wait's covers then guesting at Coachella with the Jesus Mary & Chain this past spring. Still. It's annoying. Right?

The Arctic Monkey Rascals

THUNDER! It's freaky how much the Arctic Monkeys and The Rascals sound alike- it's like their front men, Alex Turner & Miles Kane respectively, are musical twins, and it's not lost on them. According to NME.com, the two like each other so much that they will soon be recording an album together. They write & sound so similarly that this can only be called a vanity project. Kane says the project remains un-titled, because,"We were thinking Turner & Kane but everyone says it doesn't sound too serious". Sounds fine to me. WATCH the above video to check out Kane sitting in with the Arctic Monkeys on their last tour, which is how this business all started.
